2025's Top Spooky Film Is Returning to IMAX Just in Time for October Festivities

Ideal for the Halloween season begins, one of the most acclaimed scary movies of the past few years will have a special return to cinemas, now solely in IMAX screens.

Premium Format Exclusive Run Information

The feature named Sinners: The Tale, that's helmed by filmmaker Ryan Coogler, will come back in participating IMAX cinemas commencing the 30th of October, running for an exclusive week-long screening through November 5.

Should you caught the film during its original cinema run, you're aware the sheer amazing opportunity this is to experience viewing on the big screen.

But, if your first viewing did not include IMAX, you have the opportunity to fix that, as this feature looks completely spectacular when shown on a IMAX format.

Considering how the initial theatrical run was abbreviated in terms of IMAX screenings, due to a different release claiming those slots soon after release, it's possible this will actually be the very first option to see the film in IMAX.

Skipped This Horror Hit? Now's the Time!

Alternatively, perhaps you've yet to watched this movie at all. In that case, it’s time to change your life.

There is no more ideal period for enjoying a spooky movie, most notably a film that enhances the genre.

Happily, the director has notable expertise with that, previously achieving comparable work in boxing films and superhero features.

What he created turns out to be a gripping but also deeply horrific narrative featuring gore, family trauma, heartbreak, vampires, plus Jordan portraying dual starring roles as two brothers named Smoke and Stack.

Coogler's Insights on Casting

The team invited him to perform this challenging role from a technical standpoint, playing two different characters, yet it was a performance that we needed to include the context we developed before to make it work.
Watching him praised from fellow actors and additional people in filmmaking, I believe that would mean so much for him.

Upcoming Work for Ryan Coogler

Moving forward, it seems that Sinners definitely provided the director the motivation to keep exploring scary storytelling.

The director has already announced an X-Files reboot in production.

Speaking about additional factors drives his choice to reboot the classic franchise, he explained:

Similar to my relationship with Rocky through my dad, The X-Files holds a special place with my mom.
My mother is incredibly important for me — in fact, she's here tonight — so this is a big one to me.
My goal is to do justice for her and the fans. My mom has read part of the material I developed for the reboot. My mom is enthusiastic.

Last Opportunity to Catch The Film

There’s no telling when the director's version on the iconic series will make the light of day.

However, everyone have another shot to experience his absolutely remarkable film when it returns on the big screen starting the 30th.
