Indianapolis Colts

However, we must acknowledge how soft the Patriots’ schedule has been. They have faced the least challenging lineup throughout football, and flaws have still emerged. Their quarterback has been sacked thirty-five times – the second-most in football – with several hits he absorbed on Sunday proved brutal. As the season progresses, those beatings accumulate.

Broncos Situation

Denver stands at eight wins similarly, yet it seems as if they’re holding their breath. Their quarterback has been erratic, and the offense plodding, while the defensive unit provides all the heavy lifting. Lacking competent QB performance, the Broncos won't frighten playoff opponents. The Chargers are also contending within their division at 7-2, however, health issues within their blocking corps will make it tough to mount a deep postseason tilt.

Pittsburgh Situation

And then there’s Pittsburgh, surprisingly atop their division despite being thumped a decisive loss to Los Angeles in the evening game. They have a negative point differential, their defense regularly vanishes, with their quarterback's restrictions at this stage of his career continue to show up. They’re 5–4 and holding on, however, the Ravens, with Lamar Jackson healthy again and the schedule softening, are riding a three-game streak. We shouldn't be completely astonished that the Ravens have pulled the gap to just one game, but how rapidly this occurred is an indictment of Pittsburgh's fluctuating form. That the Ravens started the season 1-5 and currently seem capable of division victory reveals much about the complete conference.

Baltimore constitutes part of the Big Three – together with Bills and Chiefs – powered by their MVP quarterbacks, who could still create the greatest concern in opposing teams should they reach postseason.
